Support for Those Who Support Others
Those who support others need spaces for reflection, growth, and support, too. Whether you are a clinician, coach, facilitator, guardian, guide, or someone else working in a helping role, there may be times when you want a trusted place to ask questions, explore unfamiliar territory, deepen your skills, or reflect on how you are showing up in your work. I offer individualized support for helping professionals who want to expand their capacity to meet others with greater awareness, attunement, and care.
Holding space for another person is an ongoing practice. Whether you are stepping into this work for the first time or have years of experience, there are moments when having a trusted place to reflect, ask questions, deepen your skills, and explore the complexities of supporting others can be invaluable.
I offer individualized mentorship, coaching, and guardianship training for people working within psychedelic and plant medicine spaces who want to deepen their capacity to meet others with greater attunement, discernment, and care. Drawing from my clinical and trauma-informed background alongside years of experience supporting people in ceremonial and psychedelic spaces, I bring both a therapeutic and experiential lens to this work. Our work can include trauma-informed approaches to altered states, practical guardianship skills, attunement and presence, boundaries and ethics, nervous system awareness, responding to challenging experiences, rupture and repair, and learning to recognize when intervention may be helpful and when the most skillful response may simply be to remain present.
At the heart of this work is attunement: learning to meet someone where they are without needing to take on their experience, change it, or move them somewhere else. Rather than teaching a single formula for holding space, our work is grounded in developing your capacity to listen, notice, respond, and trust your discernment while honoring the autonomy and organic intelligence of the person you are supporting. Sessions are tailored to where you are in your work. You may be preparing to serve as a guardian for the first time, seeking guidance around a particular situation, wanting to strengthen your trauma-informed skills, or looking for ongoing mentorship as your practice evolves.
Ceremonial & Earth-Based Perspectives:
For practitioners curious about expanding beyond predominantly clinical frameworks, mentorship may also include exploration of ceremonial and earth-based perspectives that have informed my own approach to psychedelic and plant medicine work. Drawing from years of mentorship, personal practice, and experience within ceremonial spaces, these conversations may explore relationship with the natural world, ritual and intentional space, energetic awareness and boundaries, and ways of opening, tending, and closing ceremonial containers. My approach has also been influenced by learning from different shamanic perspectives and ways of understanding our relationship with plants, place, energy, and the unseen aspects of experience. I approach this work with respect for the cultural contexts and lineages from which particular practices emerge, and with attention to discernment, reciprocity, and the responsibility involved in integrating practices across cultures.
Psychedelic & Plant Medicine Mentorship:
Trauma-Informed Support for Facilitators, Guardians, Guides, and Space Holders
Retreat & Ceremonial Support
I am available to collaborate with retreat leaders, facilitators, and communities seeking additional support for retreats, ceremonial spaces, and other intentional psychedelic or plant medicine offerings. Depending on the nature of the offering and the needs of those involved, this may include providing additional support within retreat or ceremonial spaces, working with participants around preparation and integration, collaborating with facilitators around participant care and readiness, or offering additional trauma-informed support to the team.
I bring together my clinical background with years of experience supporting individuals in altered states and working within ceremonial settings. My approach includes attention to both the individual and the larger container—remaining attuned to when someone may need more focused care while also considering the experience, safety, and integrity of the collective space. Because every setting is different, collaborations are considered individually based on the nature of the offering, the people involved, and whether my experience and approach are an appropriate fit.
Guardianship Training & Development
Guardianship work asks us to develop a particular kind of awareness: the ability to remain present within our own being and nervous system while simultaneously attuning to the individual or group we are there to support. At times, there may be multiple needs, dynamics, and subtle shifts to track at once, requiring moment-to-moment situational awareness while maintaining a warm, grounded, and steady presence. This work asks us to notice what may need our attention without assuming that everything requires our intervention—to know when to move closer, when to create space, when to seek additional support, and when our most meaningful contribution may simply be the quality of presence we bring.
I have spent a number of years studying and practicing the art of guardianship in both individual and group settings, and have felt privileged every step of the way. I have also had the opportunity to work alongside, train, and mentor other guardians as they hone their own capacity for this sacred work—something I deeply enjoy.
I am available for individual consultation and mentorship, as well as training and support for guardian teams. This work can look different for each person and is not intended to offer a one-size-fits-all approach. Part of developing as a guardian is learning to trust and listen to our own inner guidance while also building the knowledge, skills, and discernment needed to care responsibly for others. Our work may explore trauma-informed approaches to psychedelic care, psychedelic harm reduction, attunement and presence, boundaries and ethical considerations, navigating challenging experiences, rupture and repair, communication within a support team, and developing greater discernment around when—and how—to intervene.
Rather than teaching a rigid formula for guardianship, my intention is to help people deepen their own capacity for this work through becoming more aware of what they notice, more grounded in how they respond, and increasingly able to meet what arises with presence, humility, respect, and care.
Relevant Experience & Training
I feel grateful that many of the paths I have followed, both personally and professionally, have converged in the work I now have the opportunity to offer. My clinical training, relationship with the natural world, psychedelic education, years within ceremonial spaces, and my own ongoing practices have each shaped how I understand and approach this work.
My professional background includes graduate training in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in Ecopsychology, as well as certification in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute. I have completed multiple trainings in psychedelic harm reduction and have volunteered with the Zendo Project, an initiative of the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS).I have also pursued advanced training in Internal Family Systems (IFS) through the Internal Family Systems Counseling Association (IFSCA), including continued study of more complex dimensions of parts work and areas that can intersect with non-ordinary states and ceremonial experiences.
Alongside my clinical and professional training, I have spent more than a decade studying and practicing guardianship and working within ceremonial spaces. Over the years, I have served in lead guardian roles, supported individuals through a wide range of altered-state experiences, and had the privilege of training and mentoring others as they develop their own capacity for this work.
I approach this work with humility and a commitment to continuing to learn. I have loved being a student of this work and feel deeply grateful for what I have learned from teachers, mentors, colleagues, communities, and experience along the way. I also genuinely love sharing what I have learned and supporting others as they develop and hone their own skills—so they can feel more grounded, confident, and empowered in their capacity to care for others and help create safer spaces for this work.
A note on scope: My services do not include advice regarding the selection, sourcing, dosage, or administration of psychedelic or controlled substances. I work only within the scope of my professional role and collaborate only with offerings operating within the applicable laws of the jurisdiction in which they take place.
